Amy Floan joined the St. John’s staff as the Director of Faith Formation in August 2014. Amy brings experience in education, video production, and nursing assistance. In all of these roles, she has most enjoyed the relationships she has built.

Amy has been an active member of Lutheran churches wherever she’s lived – in Wisconsin, Colorado, and Illinois – and spent three faith-shaping summers as a counselor at Lutheran Bible camps. She has a Bachelor’s degree in English and secondary education from Luther College in Decorah, IA, and a Master’s degree in Communication (Media Studies) from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL.

Amy met her husband Einar shortly after graduate school, and they were married in 2008. In the fall of 2013, they bought a house in Evansville, just down the street from St. John’s, and have been amazed at the friendliness of the community!

Amy and Einar are the parents of two young, curious, and active children, Oscar and Kajsa. Amy used to have hobbies (watching movies, reading, spending time with friends and family), but now she has kids. You might spot Amy walking around Evansville with her family, including their dog Bella.
