His academic background includes a Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN, and a Bachelor’s degree from Luther College, Decorah, IA, with majors in music and psychology.
Pastor Jerry received his Master of Theology degree through the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church educational system. He joined the ELCA after 10 years in ministry serving as a parish pastor, hospital chaplain, and the Pastoral Director of a Wholistic Health Center.
Vicar Christopher is originally from the American South, attending college at Louisiana State University (LSU) and studying abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France. Since 2003, he has lived in Madison when he began graduate studies in French at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Becca has years of experience in camping ministry, chaplaincy, and congregational ministry and worked in student vocational discernment at a Lutheran college before being a full-time stay-at-home parent.
As music director, Sharon inspires our praise and guides our music. She works with the entire congregation and especially those with special gifts in music.
Chris has been a member of St. John’s since 2012 with her daughter Marabeth. Chris, Marabeth, and Scott (her husband) live right down the street. When she is not busy working with our congregations, she loves to craft, read, travel, camp and enjoy time with family and friends.
“Callie and her family joined St. John’s in 2022 after moving to the area from Oshkosh, WI. She was born and raised in Monroe and later graduated from UW-Oshkosh with a degree in biology and minors in music and Spanish. Shortly after graduation, she met her husband, Matt, and they now have 4 children together. Since then, she has held leadership roles in local women’s ministries, directed children’s choirs and musicals, and taught piano lessons.
Carolyn serves as a volunteer staff position to provide administrative support to our worship and care-giving ministries.
