Ecumenical Thanksgiving Event at Creekside

On Monday, November 20, you are invited for an ecumenical supper, worship, and pie fellowship at Creekside Place, hosted by St. John’s and our church partners in Evansville. With the Thanksgiving holiday approaching, this is an opportunity for our community to gather and share our gratitude to God and to each other. Supper will be served at 6pm with Creekside’s Chef Jenny Wiedel in the kitchen. RSVP for the meal to the church office or Creekside by Monday, November 13. The evening will continue with worship at 6:45pm right there at Creekside (no RSVP necessary). Following worship will be a delicious homemade pie fellowship at 7:30pm. (If you’re willing to bake, contact the church office.) The whole community is invited. This will be our second ecumenical event held at Creekside; we gathered last spring for a meal and Good Friday service as a community. Let’s end the year thanking God together.

Additional notes:

-RSVP by Nov 13, either to your office or to Creekside, BY NAME, so we can compare lists.

-Children’s message: children invited to draw what they are thankful for.

-We host pie fellowship, paper plates. 2-3 pies for each church.

-I will prepare a table prayer card to share.

-UCC is decorating a harvest table.

-Cooksville is providing an accompanist. (And song leader?)

-Sermon: each pastor will share a different angle of what they’re thankful for: about creation (Elizabeth), about our country (Bill), about Evansville (Matt), about the church (Dan), about God (open), etc.
