Did you know in the US, 42% of men have 5 or fewer close friends? Even worse, 15% of men report they have NO close friendships. (American Survey Center, 2021) These statistics magnify the need for friendship, and with St. John's, we'd take it a step further to say, "Christ-centered friendship." It is difficult to prioritize relationships when most of us have to-do lists, jobs, and commitments that top our priorities. But Jesus loves us too much to leave us to our own demise. God wants us to have friends that really know us and accept us for who we are. The Church is designed to be a community who will listen to us and pray for us when hard times come. You are not alone, Brother. Let's prioritize Christ-centered friendship in our lives.
