On Friday, October 25, the St. John’s Fellowship Hall will be transformed into a dance hall! Come cut a rug at a square dance from 6:00-8:00pm. We will have pie, ice cream, cider, and coffee. Caller Noah Siegmann will lead us in a fun event for the whole family. Make plans now, and invite a friend!

The Belle Ensemble will present a musical exploration of the romance and opulence of high-Victorian and early-20th century England, “Echoes from the Abbey”. This program features works of Sir Arthur Sullivan, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Charles Villiers Stanford, Hubert Parry, and Edward Elgar. The Belle Ensemble was founded by Nick Barootian, General Director and baritone, and Pastor Matt’s roommate in seminary. For this inspiring repertoire, the ensemble enthusiastically welcomes Mr. Gregory Berg to the podium as guest conductor.

The Racine-based Belle Ensemble, beginning its fifth season, is comprised of professional vocalists from Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Mr. Berg is a faculty member at Carthage College, Minister of Music at Holy Communion Lutheran Church, and radio host at WGTD, a WPR affiliate.

Performance from Drama Camp!

Rehearsals will be August 12-16 from 9am-12pm, with the performance on Friday, August 16, at 7pm. The half-hour show is a musical about “church camp, Bible heroes and remarkable, everyday kids!”
