School backpacks contain work to be done, work that’s been returned, books to be studied, and the tools to complete homework. In one way or another this year, students jump back into the adventures of learning in early September, and we know that God goes with them. During worship indoor on Saturday and outdoor service on August 21 and 22, all students (children, youth, and adults) are invited to bring their backpacks. We’ll strap them on and bless the people wearing them. Teachers and school staff will also be in our prayers. God is the one who calls us to learn and to teach. All the activities and jobs that we perform are made holy as we do them for God’s glory and for the good of others.
